I was thinking about the contribution query at the weekend - there seems to be so much good stuff and creative people in Camberwell what we need is a website - however having said that i lack any technical expertise to know how this would work!!

In spirit of 'interesting stuff' I thought I'd get in touch for a bit of shameless self-publicity.
C3 (camberwell composers collective) is a group of young classically-trained composers (largely resident in Camberwell) who formed in 2003 and have been putting on 3 gigs a year in The Crypt.
Things have been going well for us and our profile is growing (concerts coming up in the National Portrait Gallery, Aldeburgh Festival and as part of the 2006 IF Festival)
Our gigs are something a bit different from your normal classical concerts with collaborations with film makers/DJs and the most exciting classical performers.

Our next concert is coming up on the 19th November at The Crypt (St Giles Church - Camberwell Church Street) doors from 19:30, tickets £6/5.

Come along and check it out!

More info: www.camberwellcomposerscollective.com

'If you want whacky or bizarre, you can go to the pub-style Pumphouse. There, over a beer or three, you might hear … the Camberwell Composers' Collective improvising haunting sounds around electronically altered treatments of Britten's Four Sea Interludes'

That's fine, I won't force you to have a login! I'm trying to make this into a less top-down blog, and I'm grateful to everyone who contributes whether it's by reading, commenting or posting.

I think your PC/Mac has developed critical abilities and can now identify the true worth of most of my comments.

I'm not sure why, but I'd be uncomfortable with being a 'guest contributor'.

Good point, Ben. I don't want to open this up completely so it becomes a forum, but I do want a way to have it updated more often. Perhaps one or two other contributors and a page to submit news stories is the way forward.

By the way, your comments keep getting identified as spam, not sure why. I'll see if I can do anything about it, but in the meantime pardon the inconvenience.

I've considered that, and would be perfectly happy to provide logins to anyone that would like one.

Why don't you turn it into a group blog that others can contribute to but you retain editorial control over?
