Thicker than water

An inquest has been held into the execution of a man in Camberwell last July. The victim, Eric Ayo Akinniranye, was rammed off his motorcycle at the junction of Camberwell Church Street and Vicarage Grove and shot five times.
He was a very loveable person. He was always laughing. People usually went around with Eric because he was a fun person. I wouldn’t say he was a bad person.
He was on release from a 10-year sentence for drug and firearm offences, and had been receiving treatment in prison for drug addictions. It appears he was in breach of his release licence at the time of his death. Police believe his death was part of a drugs gang turf war.
His brother added:
Yes, he did get mixed up with the wrong crowd.
