Returning to the Castle (post 36) I see its up for sale:

According to Admiral Taverns (www.admiraltaverns.co.uk)
the Castle Camberwell is "A community local that requires attention."

Furthermore
"This is a two bar operation with a separate pool room. Admiral Taverns wants to invest into this property to bring the pub back to a community bar with a sports theme and late night live music venues.

The private accommodation consists of 2 bedrooms. The kitchen needs updating."

Yours for an initial investment of £41,000 and rent of £34,000 a year over the course of the 20 year lease.

YES! I know you now Mel.

I'm never sure who I am. I prefer finding out gradually over a lifetime.

Mark - that's very intriguing. You're glad AND disappointed that I'm not whoever you thought I was. Very intriguing indeed!

We did meet once though you probably don't remember. I came to a Forum Committee meeting about 6 months ago (the one in the Eritrean Community Centre) when I'd just moved back to Camberwell and had only been living here about 2 weeks. You were very sweet and made me feel welcome!

Mel R I was sure you are someone else until your most recent post - for reasons too long to go into. But I'm glad you're not who I thought you were, as well as slightly disappointed.

I'm not saying they're attractive - it's just a bit confusing.

That's true because I thought Foxy Al must be a cross-dresser and I imagine that she is about 7ft tall. Actually I still think that...

I didn't mean to cause a who-ha, I was just surprised at what I read into the posts about Denmark Road. In fact I'd mis-read them, so perhaps I should apologise.

I am posting under my real name. On the SE5Forum I am 'MCR', which are my initials. I didn't intend to have two identites I just signed-up for the blog and the forum at different times and couldn't quite remember what name I'd used for the first one, only that it was something to do with my initials. It was through blogging naivity that I didn't think up a pseudonym instead.

The thing I quite like about people using pseudonyms is that sometimes you can't tell even the most basic thing about them, like whether they're male or female. I was convinced Dagmar was a man until someone corrected me (although I still have my doubts and Dagmar has never confirmed either way!) and I was assuming Mumu was a woman, but in his latest post Peter refers to Mumu as 'he'. Its made me think about why I made these assumptions and why I was so surprised when they were wrong. It's quite interesting.

No apology for me please Drew. I am delighted that you brought up house prices. The more you talk about them the quicker they increase. FACT.
