Hey, hello. The Heygate and Aylesbury were where Londoners lived after being bombed by the Nazis. It would be interesting to hear about the people who live there now.

thanks for that dagmar, i’ll check Cohn out. I got a copy of “one eye grey” today from “Stardust” the giftshop in herne hill. it’s a Penny Dreadful for the 21st century, (and so costs £2.50!) and is a handful of good, actually pretty creepy, stories centred in (so far) south London. no mention of camberwell so far, but plenty of scary mermaid action in Brockwell Park Lido. well worth checking out.

Squidder, Nik Cohn's "Yes We Have No" is very good. I didn't know about Moorcock's "Mother London", thanks for that, dickdotcom. I agree about Sinclair's Orbital, it is somewhat fluffy but has good bits and is a great idea. Nik Cohn is really sharp. Mark, great Dodge. If you have none of the 99p shop DS's I'll drop the whole set round - is that right?

dickdotcom & ewookie, thanks for the heads ups. I’ll check out that moorcock book, i’ve nver read his stuff before but that looks great. London Orbital’s good innit? i loved the bit about Gimpo driving round and round the M25 to see “where it goes”! genius.

The building futures site looks great, i’d definitely be up for checking out the debates you mention. I think it could really help with my writing stuff so cheers.

ALSO, i’ve never been to Review books so i can check that out as well. Bonus!
