On a similar subject five buildings in Southwark have been nominated for a Civic Trust Award (for more info visit http://www.civictrust.org.uk/awards) , which recognise the country’s best developments – not only for their architectural style but also for their contribution to the fabric of the local community.
The nominees are:
Stealth House - A private house on Grove Lane, Camberwell, SE5
Hanover Park – New Keyworker accommodation in Hanover Park, Peckham, SE15
The Keyworth Centre - A new Academic Block for South Bank University, Elephant and Castle
Bellenden Renewal area – Co-ordinated regeneration projects in Bellenden Road area, Peckham, SE15
Coopers Road Estate –Regeneration of an existing Peabody Housing Estate in Westminster Bridge Road, SE1
Awards are only given where the scheme is considered of economic, social or physical benefit to the local community.
