News from the Twittersphere

Super-brief update with news from Twitter.

First, the team behind The Hope & Anchor on The Cut have confirmed they’ve taken over the former Recreation Ground (etc.). It will open in the new year as The Camberwell Arms. It’s a joint venture with people from The Cantom Arms, in Stockwell, and Peckham’s own Frank’s.

Second, it seems that the proposed new cafe in the former Town Hall on Peckham Road will be called Butterfly, and operated by the Hotel Elephant team. Looks set to open in 2015.

Finally, the Pigeon Hole cafe, which won crowd-sourced funding to open in Camberwell, are having difficulty getting a lease for their preferred location and are looking for help to make a case with the landlord.

That’s it for now.
